2015 SB495 Seeks to Change % of Table Game Proceeds Sent to Government

Maryland SB 495, sponsored by Senator Conway, seeks to increase the percentage of table game proceeds sent to the state, from 20% to 30%.

Proposed deletions of current code are in [brackets] below (e.g. 80% becomes 70%):

(d) (1) Each video lottery operation licensee shall retain [80%] 70% of the  proceeds of table games at the video lottery facility.
(2) On a properly approved transmittal prepared by the Commission, the  Comptroller shall pay [20%] 30% of the proceeds of table games at the video lottery facility to the Education Trust Fund established under § 9–1A–30 of this subtitle.
