2014 SB 157 proposes to raise Maryland’s maximum highway speed to 70 mph
SB 157, sponsored by Senator Edwards, proposes to change the maximum speed allowed on Maryland highways from 65 m.p.h. to 70 m.p.h. (2) Subject to the provisions of paragraph (1) of this subsection, a maximum speed limit of more than [65] 70 miles an hour may not be established on any highway in the State.
